The idea for Exceptional Minds came from the brain of Unquiet Media’s founder, Paul Higgins MBE. 

 

A man who dedicated his life to championing and amplifying the voices of others in and around the media industries, and who understood that his great success as a businessman, a creative, and an entrepreneur was a result of, not in spite of, his ability to think, learn, and process information in atypical ways. 

 

His many endeavours in the media industry included the co-founding of Optimum Releasing (now STUDIOCANAL UK), COCO Content (Ireland’s leading independent TV producer), Target Media (UK leading entertainment media agency), Edicis Communications Group (content agency), and Dragon Post Wales (award-winning post and restoration house), as well as running a production arm of his media group with film and TV projects ranging from his support of the local media sector in Wales alongside Ffilm Cymru, Creative Wales, and many other partners, right through to Hollywood, collaborating with Oscar-winning filmmakers and giants of the global entertainment industry. 

 

Passionate about psychology, mental health, and the creative world, Paul personally experienced the unique challenges and incredible strengths associated with a neurodivergent mind, and witnessed them also in many of the best creatives and business people he worked with throughout his career. 

 

We hope Exceptional Minds will be a testament to his work in making the creative industries more inclusive for brains much like his own, and uphold the incredible legacy he left behind.
